Whenever Obama opens his mouth, someone from the Republican side will accuse him of pandering to one group or another, or of “playing politics.”
I’m not going to deny that Obama does “pander” (although I think that heavily freighted word is unnecessarily negative and overused), or that he “plays politics.” He is, after all, a politician.
However, he is also the President. Whatever your opinion about what he is doing, he does have a job and some of what he says pertains to it. Romney, on the other hand, is unemployed. His only concern is to run for office, which he must do by pandering to one group or another and playing politics.
Cut me a break.
